Activities, Attractions, and Stunning Scenery

We are still putting together these web pages and will be adding new content shortly.

In the meantime we highly recommend a visit to Pulteney Distillery - there is a fantastic tour of the distillery - have a wee dram - you can even bottle your own to take away... Impressive range of quality products with the distillery logo available.   All our visitors have highly enjoyed a visit to the distillery.

Do try the cream version if you are not a whisky fan - it is lovely.

Wick's Award Winning Heritage Museum  is a must see on your trip to Wick. Do leave yourself plenty of time as it vanishes once you get lost in the history of our wee town.   The Museum is totally run by knowledgeable volunteers who make the visit such a joy - they are always delighted to help folks with any questions.

The Heritage Museum is at number 27 and Duncorann House & The Lorne Apartments are at No's 37 & 38 so you are just along the street so a visit is so easy.

The Johnston Photographic Collection is also housed at Wick Heritage Museum.

Golf Courses, Links Golf and  Beginners golf  Wick is a  wonderful base for the golfer with a wide range of courses for all standards of golfer from beginners to some of the world’s top golfers favourites.

Day Trips....

Orkney is only a few miles away over land and 7 miles of sea.  With the Standing Stones of Stenness and Scara Brae and there is 5,000 years of the ancient history of man to be explained in one of the oldest settlements in the world.  Ferry from Gills Bay and Thurso (see Location page for ferry information).  North Highlands, John’O Groats and Thurso isonly 20-25 mins drive, Durness, West Highlands and other Sutherland Destinations all within day trip distance.
