We are roughly 100 miles from Inverness the closest city, and only 15 miles from "John O' Groats", but Wick is actually easy to get to. There is a small airport, linked from most major cities via Edinburgh  or Aberdeen. Come direct from London and hire a car from Inverness and enjoy a really scenic drive north, or take the bus. Many visitors enjoy the wonderful railway journey which takes you into areas of
completely unspoiled countryside. You could even visit from the sea if you are into yachting as Wick has a lovely quiet harbour, albeit the coastline can be
challenging...

Our small holiday home offers you a unique opportunity to really get away from the hectic pace of life in the city… take a step sideways from your busy life and enjoy a slower pace of day to day living. Just relax, switch off and enjoy some quality time with your family. While your quality holiday home is located in a quiet street in the old Pulteneytown area of Wick, a historic old fishing port on the North East Coastline of Caithness be assured that you will not be lost for things to do, depending on how active or how wonderfully lazy you wish to be you can chose from so many activities, sights to see, places you just must visit. The kids are well covered too and can enjoy the freedom of being able to play outside, go to the play park, trampolines, tennis, crazy golf,  swimming pool, etc and the adults can join in too if they insist. Otherwise how about a barbeque in your back garden, enjoy a glass of wine, stretch out in the deck chair and do nothing more than watch the changing patterns in the clouds - sheer bliss - just how can you miss out on that?
Fancy some retail therapy, well you are just a short walk from many small shops , or catch the bus from your door step and pop down to the "street". Wick boasts a small traffic restricted town square where there is often some entertainment or street stalls, also many restaurants so you could cheat and have a nice meal before your take a gentle stroll home via the harbour or the riverbank (which really should leave the kiddies ready for an early bedtime). You can wind down your evening by browsing through the varied information on the area and decide what you wish to do next day, or simply watch a video, play a tape or have a read of a good book - all provided for your convenience and enjoyment.
